Grow Anyway

Hey, family! I am so thankful to God for placing people in my path that can be a blessing to all of you and myself. I LOVE receiving motivation and inspiration almost as much as I love spreading it. Up this week, is none other than LaTressa Moses. LaTressa is a Georgia native who dedicated her life to working with the youth. She is the founder of Striving to Empower Many 101, Inc. (S.T.E.M), which is a non-profit organization based in her hometown. We are honored at TJ&M to have her drop us a few nuggets of her wisdom! Enjoy!

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I

will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -1 Peter 5:7

Grow Anyway

Sometimes, growth can be uncomfortable. Not only for you, but sometimes those closest to you.

Progression can cause others to feel intimidated, inferior, or inadequate even though that’s not

your intention—but don’t shrink!

In all honesty, I’ve watered down many times in hopes of not doing “too much” or “giving the

impression that I think I am better”, but God quickly reminded me that’s not how he created me

to be.

So I serve this reminder to you today, Grow Anyway.

Not everyone will like it and that’s okay!

Be mindful about what and who you give your time to, what you focus on, and what & who you

listen to.

It’s okay to walk away from the things that no longer serve you or push you closer to your goals

and a better you.

Continue to pursue your goals: get the degree, purchase the car, take that trip, start the

business or whatever goals you would like to accomplish.

Invest in you. Take care of you. Do it for the future you. ❤️

Dear God, thank you for the reminders when I feel the need to conform. May I continue on my

journey to growth and keep my ears clinging tightly to the power of your voice.
