Sometimes an L is Just a Lesson

Well hello, family! It is indeed that time again. That’s right! Time for some inspiration and motivation. Yall know how I like for others to contribute to the blog. Up this week…The one and only Commissioner Hope Harmon! She always comes through and graces us with a word. This week is no different. Be blessed!

We live in a culture where people want to win at any cost. They don't want to learn lessons along the way, they just want things handed to them. That's simply not life. So often, we can only see what's in front of us, but God sees and knows our future far beyond what we can imagine.

I recently had a situation happen, it didn't go the way I thought it should go. I had prayed about it, fasted, and was standing on the promises of God...I claimed it was MINE. Well, nothing at all happened the way I planned. I immediately began to think, God why didn't you do what I know you can? That's when I was reminded sometimes what we view as a loss, God is trying to teach us a lesson.

According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of a lesson is, "something learned by study or experience."

Let's focus on the last word...EXPERIENCE.

There are some things God has to let us experience firsthand to truly learn the lesson he has for us.

I just want to encourage you, don't get discouraged. No matter how hard this lesson is that you are going through, know that with God you will get through it.

Please, continue to pray, fast, and trust God in every single area of your life. This is NOT an L, it's just a LESSON.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭50‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬
