Yes, she is doing it all and setting a mighty example of what it means to be a woman of God doing her thing. I am so excited to have her share a little bit of her story with us this week. Please Join me in welcoming her, and let’s start a conversation in the comments below!
For years I always thought it was a smooth road being saved. I had it all wrong. For some years now, my mother has been a Christian. So that means we had to go to church a lot, sometimes two or three times a week. I have always felt the presence of the lord when I was in church but I knew I wasn't ready. I always said by the time I was 30 I wanted to be married with 2 kids and saved. Well, guess what? By the time I turned 30 I had two kids and a husband but still felt like I needed that sinful life and that once you got saved, all the fun was over. For year after year, I kept making promises to God that I was gonna turn my life over to him. Fast forward to 2014 God was tired of me playing with him so he put me in a position where I had to choose him or the enemy. Let's just say I choose God. I knew at that moment that that was my last chance. So I gave my life to Christ and it wasn't a smooth road as I thought. I thought once I got saved that everything I ever wanted was going to be given to me. No one tells you that once you make that choice the enemy starts his attacks and there are trials and tribulations you have to go through but it's only to make you stronger and trust in the Lord. (At least I can say that for me.)
Trust and believe that your faith will be tested and distractions will come but you have to hold on to God's unchanging hand and he will bring you through. I can say that I'm finally at a place where I'm at peace. I'm content, grateful, joyful, and most importantly humble in the person I am today. I know that in the end as long as I'm obedient and keep my eyes on God that everything will fall into place in God's timing. I have learned it's not my will but God's will.
